Carbon capture projects
At IFCAYA SAS, we lead environmental projects that transform territories and communities.
For this reforestation project in Tocancipá, Cundinamarca, we planted 11,031 native species, including Chilco, Wax Laurel and Black Arrayán, with a minimum height of 80 cm.
Design and validation of the environmental compensation plan.
Supervision of staff and comprehensive management of the plantation.
Planting, fertilization, and weed control.
Delivery of periodic reports and georeferenced location in KMZ format.
Comprehensive Maintenance of the Environmental Barriers of the Salitre WWTP.
In this project, we are responsible for maintaining the trees in the environmental barriers of the WWTP premises and the biosolids use areas.
Grass cutting within the environmental barrier zones, to avoid competition and proliferation of weeds to individuals.
Plating, phytosanitary management and soil and/or foliar fertilization, irrigation and, depending on the technical review, pruning of high or low branches to ensure healthy plant growth.
Supply of land to tree individuals that require it, control of exotic and invasive species to preserve local biodiversity.
In addition, we planted ornamental plants and trees to strengthen environmental barriers, and we carried out the cleaning, fertilization, pruning and irrigation of the gardens, both old and new. Finally, we updated the tree census to review the 2021 forest inventory and assess the current status of the trees, determining the necessary management for each one.
Planting and maintaining trees
It includes the planting and care of forest trees, fruit trees and shrubs in urban and rural areas of Quindío. In addition, we carry out replanting and maintenance for the Electro Vegetal Harmony Project in different phases.
We provide mapping in KMZ format for accurate visualization on open source platforms, facilitating georeferencing of trees.
The Green Horizon Project promotes sustainability by reforesting critical areas and generating clean energy for local communities. This initiative not only preserves ecosystems, but also promotes regional development, creating a balance between progress and the environment.
In the department of Magdalena, we planted 47,200 native trees of the tropical dry forest on 59 hectares, contributing to the preservation of the buffer area of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.
