Some of our active projects
At IFCAYA SAS, we lead environmental projects that transform territories and communities.
FEMSA Project
FEMSA Reforestation
For this reforestation project in Tocancipá, Cundinamarca, we planted 11,031 native species, including Chilco, Wax Laurel, and Black Myrtle, with a minimum height of 80 cm.
Highlights
Planning
Design and validation of the environmental compensation plan.
Run and Maintain
Supervision of staff and comprehensive management of the plantation.
Complete Care
Planting, fertilization, and weed control.
Reports and Georeferencing
Delivery of periodic reports and georeferenced location in KMZ format.
WWTP Project
Comprehensive Maintenance of the Environmental Barriers at the Salitre WWTP.
In this project, we are responsible for maintaining the trees in the environmental barriers on the WWTP grounds and in the biosolids recycling areas.
This maintenance includes:
Mowing grass within environmental barrier areas to prevent weed competition and proliferation among individuals.
Staking, phytosanitary management and soil and/or foliar fertilization, irrigation and, depending on the technical review, pruning of high or low branches to ensure healthy plant growth.
Providing land to tree individuals that require it, and controlling exotic and invasive species to preserve local biodiversity.
In addition, we planted ornamental plants and trees to strengthen environmental barriers, and we carried out clearing, fertilizing, pruning, and watering of both old and new gardens. Finally, we updated the tree census to review the 2021 forest inventory and assess the current condition of the trees, determining the necessary management for each one.
EDEQ Project
Tree planting and maintenance
Our project includes providing tree planting and maintenance services, ensuring compliance with compensation obligations to the Environmental Authority.
This project includes the planting and care of forest trees, fruit trees, and shrubs in urban and rural areas of Quindío. We also provide replanting and maintenance services for the Electro-Vegetal Harmony Project in various phases.
We provide mapping in KMZ format for accurate display on open source platforms, making it easy to georeference trees.
Green Horizon Project
The Green Horizon Project promotes sustainability through reforestation of critical areas and the generation of clean energy for local communities. This initiative not only preserves ecosystems but also promotes regional development, creating a balance between progress and the environment.
Magdalena Governorate
In the department of Magdalena, we planted 47,200 native tropical dry forest trees on 59 hectares, contributing to the preservation of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta buffer zone.
Cashew Live Carbon
This project promotes sustainable agroforestry production in Puerto Carreño, Vichada.
It integrates actors in the cashew chain to restore degraded lands, mitigate climate change, and generate income with low GHG emissions.
With 1,123 hectares planted, it applies agroecological practices and seeks to expand, becoming eligible for carbon markets due to its high CO₂ capture.
On March 10, 2025, the Marañón Living Carbon Grouped Project was socialized through an in-person consultation, with the participation of environmental authorities, the Puerto Carreño community, educational institutions, landowners, and other stakeholders. This activity was carried out in compliance with Gold Standard requirements, ensuring a participatory and transparent process.
A summary of the socialization is attached below for comments and observations by attendees and other interested parties.
